DIY St. Patrick’s Day Crafts Everyone Can Enjoy

Get your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations off to a colorful start with these fun and easy-to-follow craft projects! From leprechauns to shamrocks, you can create festive decorations for your home that will make it look especially festive for the holiday.

Disney Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Crowns

Regardless of the holiday, making celebratory crowns is always a favorite of my 1st graders! They have so much fun decorating and designing their hats! I am a big Disney fan so I had to add a magical touch to these crowns!

St. Patrick’s Day Crowns

Every holiday deserves a celebratory crown and St. Patrick’s Day is no different! These crowns are quick and easy to make! Either print and go or have your students color their own crowns! Either way your students will look great celebrating the holiday!

3-D Rainbows

These rainbows are fun and easy to make! Each side offers your students an opportunity to practice SEL! Simply fill in the rainbows, fold each rainbow in half, glue one on top of the other and you are done!

St. Patrick’s Day SEL Craft

This craft comes in 2 awesome SEL versions! The first version provides your students with the opportunity to identify why they love themselves. The second one allows your students to create proactive steps in order to create their own luck!

It is always a good time to incorporate SEL in the classroom! This craft allows your students to take the time and identify what they are grateful for!

Tissue Paper Shamrock Wreath

Decorate your front door with a wreath that is sure to bring a smile to people’s faces! Create a show-stopping display from tissue paper and cardstock. Cut out several circles of tissue paper and three shamrocks from the cardstock, layer them all together, and then add ribbon for an extra splash of color. Hang it up and let St. Patrick’s Day begin!

DIY Leprechaun Hat Decorations

Accent your holiday décor with some simple leprechaun hats! Take a regular cardboard hat template, paint it any color you desire, and add a few embellishments such as glitter, pom-poms, or stars. Hang them in the windows or around the house for some unexpected cheer!

Paper Shamrock Garland

Get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit and make a paper shamrock garland to decorate your walls. It’s an easy project that the whole family can take part in – all you need is some construction paper, scissors, string and tape. Start by cutting out a shamrock template from thick card stock or cardboard, then trace it onto green construction paper as many times as desired. Cut out the shamrocks and secure them along a length of string with tape or glue. Hang up your paper shamrock garland for some charming wall decorations!

Easy Valentine Craft Ideas You Can Do with Your Family

Looking for creative ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your family? Crafting is a great way to bond and make some fun and festive decorations as well. Here are some easy ideas to help get you started.

Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Gingerbread Craft

These templates make this craft easy! Simply color and decorate each template, glue the sides, and assemble! There are over a dozen templates, which means you and your family can create a Valentine’s Day Village! I love making little gingerbread houses because they are so festive and always come out so cute!

DIY Button Heart Art

Put your hearts and art skills together to make a fun and unique DIY Button Heart Art. All you need are a few supplies like buttons, cardstock paper, scissors, hot glue gun, ribbon and pencil. First trace out an outline of the heart onto the cardstock paper. Then start gluing down the buttons around the perimeter in different sizes and colors. Finish off by tying a ribbon onto the top of the DIY button art for extra flare!

DIY Valentine STEM Crowns

Is there a better way to celebrate than holiday crowns? But these are not just Valentine’s Day crowns! These are STEM crowns! They are so special because they include a little math with all of the Valentine’s Day fun!! Simply color your crown and answer some math questions based on your design.

Paper Roses

This is one of my favorite crafts and it is so easy to make! Paper roses are so beautiful. Whether you make a single rose or a bouquet, this is an easy, sweet, and fun craft to make. When you get the entire family involved, you will have a house full of flowers before you know it!

3-D Valentine Fun

This is the easiest Valentines Day craft on the list! They come out so cute and they could not be easier to make! Simply color, cut, and add a little glue. These creations stand up on their own and they are the perfect Valentine’s Day decoration.

Valentine’s Day Mailbox

I LOVE Valentine’s Day mailboxes!! Your family will have tons of fun making their own mailboxes. You can bring the mailboxes to school to hold your valentines or put the mailboxes out on display at home! These mailboxes come in two different sizes with a variety of designs. There is a mailbox for every member of the family!

Compliment Jar

The Compliment Jar is such a heartwarming craft! This craft is a great group activity to show your loved ones how much you appreciate them! Each member completes a compliment heart about each member in the group. At the end, you give the hearts to specified person and they are left with a compliment jar!

Valentine’s Day Bags

Whether you are making a gift, a bag for Valentine’s Day, or creating some cute decor, these Valentine’s Day bags are easy to make and quick to put together. Simply color your pieces, arrange them on your chosen bag, and glue them down! My students love using these bags to hold their valentines.

Lunar New Year 2023- How Chinese New Year is Celebrated

What year is 2023 in Chinese zodiac sign? It’s the year of the rabbit and there are tons of ways to celebrate from directed drawings, crafts, STEM, and so much more! Lunar New Year is a fun holiday and we can make Lunar New Year 2023 the best New Year yet! It’s time to teach your students how Chinese New Year is celebrated! When is Lunar New Year 2023? Lunar New Year is this Sunday so let’s check out some awesome books and fun activities that you can do in your classroom to teach your students how Chinese New Year is celebrated!

These books are a fun and informative introduction to the holiday! The books are easy to follow and they teach students how Chinese New Year is celebrated! You will learn some Chinese New Year traditional food, Chinese New Year symbols, holidays customs, and the meaning behind the celebration!

Crafts

These Chinese New Year crafts are here to celebrate the holiday! Red lamps and the year of the rabbit decorate many of these crafts to celebrate the Lunar New Year traditions. My students’ favorite craft is the pin wheel! They loved checking out the Chinese New Year zodiac sign for their birthday and the birthday of their loved ones.

Math

Lunar New Year 2023 is right around the corner and an easy way to integrate Lunar New Year into other content areas is by utilizing color by codes!

Writing

My students love to write about what they learned, share Lunar New Year fun facts with their families, and create art through directed drawings!

STEM

These STEM crowns ask students to color and design their crowns. Based on the colors that are used, students will answer some math questions!
